Workin on my fitness

New workout clothes and shoes totally inspire me to get my butt in gear! Well that and the fact that it's technically always bathing suit season in the south!

I always find myself screen shoting or saving workouts and motivational quotes. The quotes really do help sometimes. This post today has a couple quick workouts and motivation to get you going along with a healthy snack chart. If you're anything like me, snacking is the biggest problem!

A little motivation to put a pep in your step

Now that we're motivated let's get our butts moving!

Snacking right

Happy Tuesday! Hope you tried it with me!!

What's in your makeup bag?

So my makeup bag is pretty stuffed and sometimes I can't get it to zip all the way shut. Which made me wonder, what in the world do I have in this thing?!!

My ever so handy Vera makeup bag!

Let's start with my eyes:
Why do I have soooo many mascaras lol My answer, I need one for every situation whether it be booster, curl, volume, lengthen and extend! See there is a great reason for having so many!!
Then there's my issue with why do I have a million eye liners? My answer, they are the hardest thing to find in my bag so I need multiples.
No need to defend my brushes they speak for themselves: two eye shadow brushes, eye liner brush, a foundation brush and two bronzed brushes
I think I'm doing relatively well here! That wand comes in handy to cover up my stupid pimples. Two foundations depending on the season and color of my skin and of course a bronzer!
Eye shadows! Clearly I stick to all natural browns
The randoms! Primer, clear lip gloss, nail clippers and face lotion/sunscreen

Now onto my favs! The products I use all the time!

I recently got these two eyeliners in my Ipsy glam bag and I love them! The Urban Decay velvet pencil has to be the easiest eyeliner to apply!

What's in your makeup bag?!

Deviled Avocado Eggs

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous Easter full of yummy food and making memories! This year Gavin and I spent Easter at our friends/my employers home. My contribution to our brunch was deviled avocado eggs. I came across the recipe on fb and honestly had no idea if they would be good or not.

They were delish!! I'm an avocado lover so I had a feeling they would turn out great. The recipe was super easy too minus the peeling the eggs part. (Gavin's contribution in which he complained the whole time haha)

What you need:
-Carton of 18 eggs
-2 avocados
-4 tsps of Lime juice
-2 tsps of Cilantro(I used a paste and it worked so well)
-3 egg yokes
-1 tbls of minched red onion
-Dash of salt and pepper

How to:
- Boil you eggs on the stove and then peel them

-Once you have peeled your eggs cut them vertically, make sure to keep three yokes. Then place them around a tray.

-In a small bowl mash up your avocado and egg yokes then in add your lime, cilantro, red onion and salt & pepper.

- Fill egg egg half with a little scoop of your avocado filling. Cover with tin foil and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.

*The lime juice keeps the avocado from going bad and turning a dark shade.

Southern living

I have been living in the South for eight months now! The time has flown by and while I miss my friends and family so much I do love the south. However Im still very much an outsider when it comes to somethings.... I will always be a Midwest girl at heart and apparently in the way I talk.
I decided to make a fun little list of some of things I have learned since moving here:

- When I say or ask for 'pop'no one has a clue as to what I want or mean

-Monograming is huge, everyone has at least a few things monogrammed whether it be shirts, purses, bags, cellphone case, license plate, stickers, jewelry, towels, baby bibs etc. I must admit I do like monograming and just bought a tank top!

-While I think it sounds so cute and polite I can never for life of me remember to call people ma'am and sir. And when I do remember it sounds so weird to me and makes me think I'm talking to a police officer

-All bars and restaurants close at midnight on Saturday nights as it is against the law to serve any alcohol on Sundays in Georgia

-I can't bring myself to say y'all. While at times I contemplate it I feel like I would be a fake if I did.

-I talk way way too fast

-I also apparently walk super fast

-There are more people who are passive aggressive compared to the North where you kinda just say it how it is

-Pollen is a horrible horrible thing that makes your nose itch, nose run, sneeze and just makes you miserable

-You can find fried chicken pretty much everywhere

-There are way more fast food choices...My current love-Zaxbys for example

-Everyone is friendly pretty anytime of day

-Cost of living is a lot lot cheaper

-I have become a baby to the cold weather (Happened so fast!)

-I miss Meijer

-People bundle there kids up when the temp is in the 60's

-Lots of people love grits, I do not. Lol

-Everytime it rains it seems like it's a tropical storm

While I miss my home in Michigan I do love it down here. Happy Thursday! Don't forget to enter the April Showers Bring May Flowers giveaway! Today is the last day to enter.

Five on Friday and a Spring Giveaway!!

Happy Friday Lovies! I don't know about you but I am particularly excited it's almost the weekend because our weather forecast is beautiful! We have a high of 80 for today, tomorrow and Sunday! Perfect!! Bring on the sunshine. Can't wait to put my bathing suit on and read a book by the pool.

Today I am joining up with some lovely ladies for an awesome Spring giveaway! Scroll on down to read more about it and enter! As per usual I am linking up with the girls for Five on Friday with Darci, Christina, April and Natasha!

This week is a focus on my favorite current things...
One~ DIY Dryer Sheets

I recently created a new DIY board on Pintetest, some are easy and some... Well they will most likely just be me wishing and dreaming I A. Have the ability to do them or B. Have the time to do them. I did however try out a rather fast and easy project in which you make your own dryer sheets. The pros to the project are better smelling clothes and money savings.
You need a total of four things:
-1 empty spray bottle
-1 bottle of fabric softener
- water
- washclothes

Directions- fill your spray bottle half way with fabric softener and half way with water, then shake to mix it all together. I used one washcloth at a time and sprayed it a few times with the mixture and put it in the dryer with my wet clothes instead of throwing in my usual dryer sheet. You can use each washcloth four or five times before you need to wash it and start over.

Result: Amazing smelling clothes!!

Two~ Almond Joy Coffee Creamer
I am seriously obsessed with this coffee creamer. It tastes so good and you all have to try it!

Three~ Ultimate Makeup Blender
I use a liquid wand concealer and usually blend it into my face with my fingers. Sometimes I do an ok job and sometimes I have little discolored circles wherever my blemishes are.  This makeup blender is awesome and works soo much better than my fingers. I found it at Publix believe it or not!

Four~ Yoga
Yoga has got to be one of my favorite things ever! It does wonders for my mind and body. It is the only time I can actually turn off my brain. I joined a new yoga class about a month and a half ago and I don't think I will ever stop. I am sleeping much better, my body feels more lose and relaxed, I have more energy and I just overall feel so much better.

Five~ Rainboots April showers bring May flowers
Rain boots are one of my favorite accessories and I hope you love them too because these lovely ladies and myself are hosting a giveaway!! Enter now to win a pair of Hunter Boots!
